Alonesy is looking for (three to five) reliable and responsive supervisor mentors for their team!
Alonesy is the first ever free virtual mentoring program for teens ages 13-18. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit whose mission is to connect teenagers to trusted mentors that can help guide them through the stress that is inherent in being a teenager.
Alonesy is NOT an emergency or crisis line, nor is it an app that provides clinical mental health services like therapy. Alonesy is designed to provide mentoring support to teenagers through everyday life challenges.
Job Summary (Intervention):
Engage in consistent communication with designated mentor team (as needed)
Co-develop high risk protocol and continue to adjust as appropriate
Provide support to mentor team in coaching their mentees during high risk situations
Manage own anxiety regarding limitations in resources and abilities of Alonesy
Document high risk situations with incident response form
Engage in follow up communication with mentors regarding disclosed high risk
Communicate with leadership team about necessary information to prepare for high risk situations
Other job duties may be assigned as role develops
Job Summary (Mentor Development):
Engage in consistent communication with designated mentor team (as needed)
Train new mentors in protocol for engagement with mentees and for high risk
Help to manage mentor’s anxiety regarding limitations in resources
Manage own anxiety regarding limitations in resources and abilities of Alonesy
Communicate with leadership team about necessary information to lead and manage a team of mentors
Other job duties may be assigned as role develops
Job Requirements:
Fully licensed (LCSW, LICSW, PhD, PsyD, LMHC, etc-- varies by state)
Experience in clinical work with teenagers
Experience in managing and responding to high risk situations with teenagers
Creativity in developing protocol and maneuvering limitations
Ability/experience in managing responses to high risk situations
High aptitude for technology and phone apps
Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills
Comfort with communicating solely virtually
Ability to volunteer 2-5 hours per week, pending need
This position will remain entirely remote even when COVID-19 restrictions are fully lifted.
